valentines day garland

valentines day garland

It’s Wednesday, y’all (well it was when I wrote this). And on Wednesdays we wear pink.

With that being said, I thought it was the perfect day to post this pink, white, and gold Valentine’s Day banner that I made! This one is super easy - but be warned, I did make my letters using my Cricut. You could easily improvise with glitter glue, or even sticker letters from the craft store!

I wanted something cute and festive for the upcoming love day, and also wanted to use my gold foil vinyl. Win win. Oh - AND - I scored these cute doilies and the glitter pink hearts from the dollar store. That makes this bad boy pretty darn cheap.

Let’s dive right in.

Directions:

Step One: Design your L O V E letters in Cricut Design Space. I made mine about 1.8” tall, and used the Sugar & Spice font downloaded from dafont.com

Step Two: Cut it out in your gold foil vinyl and weed- I set mine on my Cricut Explore One to the Light Yardstick setting. I tried the Foil Vinyl setting but it didn’t quite make it all the way through the vinyl. This light cardstock setting ended up cutting through the paper backing which I didn’t want, but it still worked. You may want to mess around with yours!

Step Three: Once the letters are cut out, or you are using sticker letters that you bought, place them onto four of your white heart doilies.

Step Four: Now, poke 2 holes in each of your glitter hearts. I actually used my weeding tool, but a small hole punch would work great!

Step Five: Cut about a 5’ - 6’ length of twine (I used pink/white bakers twine) and thread the hearts and the doilies through! VOILA! So easy.
