I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I took a short break from the blog to enjoy some much-needed family time. But I’m back and ready for some fun projects in 2019!

I made this table runner for a Christmas party, but i think it would be super pretty in a gold color for a New Years Eve party. Maybe include the lyrics to “Auld Lang Syne.”

This project is super easy -  but does require you to use your own handwriting. So get creative! Make it a whimsical calligraphy, a classic copperplate, or even a simple lowercase print. Whatever you’d like! I used my own hand lettering with the letters ending up about 2.5” tall.

Directions:

Step One:  Measure the length you would like for your table runner, and cut off a piece of the easel paper to length.  I found the easiest way was just to roll it out on your table and cut it there so you can see exactly the length you’d like!

Step Two: Grab the marker color you’d like and get writing! I used the song lyrics to “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” but you can use whatever lyrics / poem/ quotes you want! Don’t worry about the alignment being perfect. My letters were about 2.5” tall, but make it as short or tall as you’d like. Just keep writing lyrics / repeating lyrics until you reach the end of the paper

Step Three: Place on table and enjoy!! Tape down the ends if you’d like :)
